About me

Relationships that can weather the storms are possible and are happening every day. Regardless of if you 're a couple trying to stay together, separate amicably, co-parent from the same or different residences or deciding if you still want to be a couple. I feel some of the major key elements to all types of relationships are intertwined with elements such as definitive respect, acceptance of who each other are, allowing each other room to grow. I feel anyone no matter their life stage can learn to incorporate many if not all of these elements into all of their relationships. This results in increased relationship successes regardless of your overall relationship goal. Building the skills to be able to insert these types of ingredients of success into your relationship(s) is where I can help if you.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Connecticut with over 20 yrs. experience in areas that include trauma, anxiety, parenting challenges, ADHD, autism, racism, varying levels of depression, grief and loss and emotional/psychological impacts of the pandemic. Specifically, some of my work experiences have been in an outpatient clinic, working with homeless, all school aged children, coordinating a trauma first responders' team, adults and family situations that including grief and loss related challenges. I interact naturally with a friendly and professional style. Honesty and giving my undivided attention in each session is part of who I am as a therapist. Expect that sometimes and sometimes not you may hear what you want to hear in our session. I believe everyone deserves an abundance of respect and not to be judged or treated unfairly. Anyone that wants help, takes the time to seek out help deserves a compassionate, sincere and professionally motivated response. This is something I can do. Utilizing my professional training and experiences couples with my life experiences we can get to the other side with positive outcomes.

Good job for reaching out the right way for the resources you want. Sometimes this first step is the most difficult.

I look forward to meeting you. In the meantime, stay safe and well.

Ethel is the best as far as therapists go. She is kind, compassionate and doesn't take sides but rather tries to help both parties see each other's perspective.

Very patient and fair with her thoughts. Direct, and gets to the core and helps you work from there. Highly recommend

Ethel has been a game changer for us. She's honest, plain-spoken and has brought a wealth of experience into helping us navigate our relationship in a more loving, thoughtful way. She's a compassionate listener and her positivity is a real plus. Before starting this experience we were a bit apprehensive and would never have guessed that we would actually enjoy our couples counseling but Ethel has made our sessions safe, comfortable and yes, we have even shared a few laughs. Only a few sessions in and there has already been positive change in our relationship. She is really helping us. We can't recommend her highly enough.

Ethel is a kind and caring therapist. As a couple therapist, she does a great job of understanding both sides (without picking one) and tries to get to the heart of the issue. Her sense of humor and gentle demeanor have been tremendously helpful to us. Highly recommend!

Ethel is extremely kind and attentive. She creates a comfortable environment which allows clients to be open and transparent. She has a way of making personal experiences relatable encouraging others to see things from different perspectives. She’s really great! I’m glad we were matched with Ethel as our therapist
