About me
Hello and welcome!
My name is Ellen Minter and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been working in the helping profession for 17 years. Over the years, I have worked with various populations in various capacities. In addition to being an individual and family therapist, I have spent time as a teacher, sexual assault victim advocate, youth care worker for troubled youth, and direct support professional for the developmentally disabled. I learned many things in these roles and it is those things accompanied with my own personal life experiences that have most equipped me with the necessary skills and understanding to help you navigate the transitions of your life. I have to say that I have a passion for working with couples and families. I believe that making sure we properly know how to share and express love goes a long way in bringing happiness to us, as individuals but also the world as a whole, and that love should start at home.
My therapeutic style is humorous, warm, and direct. While my role may be to help you feel better, I find that minimizing and appeasement are counterproductive to that goal. Always, I am honest and direct. I am very open-minded and I try to be respectful of all I work with. I have a bit of a multi-modal approach. I find that various techniques from different approaches, can work in conjunction in different situations.
Life is hard and unpredictable. I hope to help make things easier for you.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Ellen Minter. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
We’re still seeing Ms.Minter nw and have quite enjoyed our sessions so far. Highly recommend
Ellen is terrific, and is helping us a great deal. While very kind & friendly, she is direct, listens, doesn't let things go past without both taking note and exploring further with insightful and pointed follow-up questions. She manages to offer helpuful perspectives from her own experience without in any way making the discussion about herself. Her excellent and broad sense of humor doesn't hurt, either! She puts us on the spot and keeps us accountable while keeping us looking forward to talking with her again.
Ellen is amazing at what she does! My partner and I are truly blessed to have crossed path with her
She is amazing!!
As her profile says, she doesn’t beat around the bush. I believe that is the best way to be in therapy. She offers an understanding and caring perspective that comes with a ‘let’s get real’ manner of discussion. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone needing couples counseling!
Very insightful and very good at seeing both sides. Brings levity with humor
I appreciated Ellen's fair-mindedness and ability to see both of our perspectives. We sadly only had two sessions (through no fault of Ellen's), but both sessions offered encouragement, validation, and strategies for us to try.
I truly enjoy our sessions with Ellen. Even though my husband and I have constant communication, it was difficult to talk about important issues that bother us or understand what we needed for each other. Working with Ellen has been very helpful; she gives guidance on how to navigate difficult conversations.
