About me

Hi There!

My name is Danielle Finch and I'm a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Otterbein College and graduated with my Master's degree from The Ohio State University in 2011.

Counseling is a path I felt compelled to follow since I was a young adult. Over the past 9 years, I’ve practiced in a variety of settings, but never lost the desire to help others meet their goals and become the best version of themselves. I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults.

I strongly believe in meeting people where they’re at in their own journey. You are the expert on you! Sometimes we just need a little extra support along the path of healing and self-discovery. I believe counseling works best if the process is collaborative. My theoretical approach is eclectic in nature: I often utilize pieces of cognitive behavioral, solution focused and person-centered therapies.

In the past, I’ve worked with individuals coping with anxiety, depression, substance abuse/dependence, PTSD, relationship problems, ADHD, ODD, phase of life transitions and trauma.

I also strongly enjoy working with couples seeking to rebuild or strengthen their relationship. Couples counseling is a unique and exciting challenge. In my experience, couples come to counseling, no matter what the presenting concerns are, to figure out one thing: are we going to address and solve our problems or are we going to end our relationship? Once that decision is processed and made, meaningful work will follow to either end the relationship respectfully or strengthen and repair the relationship. No matter the outcome, the goal is to assist both members of the couple to become the best version of themselves--both inside and outside of a relationship.

In my spare time I enjoy exploring new restaurants, staying physically active, attending concerts, travelling with my husband and chasing my young daughter around the house. My husband and I love to cook, so in the evenings you’ll often find me in the supportive role of sous chef in our kitchen.

I look forward to hearing from you, learning more about you and helping to be a supportive figure in your path towards healing and self-discovery--both together and individually..

Danielle is a fantastic counselor. Easy to talk to, knowledgeable in her responses, and put us at ease immediately in our first session. She has helped my partner and I work through issues with communication as well as coparenting (and everything in between). She has been an amazing resource and we are incredibly pleased with the progress we have made through our sessions. We love the platform and the flexibility that comes in scheduling our sessions. Danielle always makes time for us and our busy schedule. Highly recommend and will continue with Danielle as long as we are able!
