I have been a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida for the past 5 years, and I currently hold a Ph.D. in Psychology. I have worked with adolescents, their families, and adults with addiction and dual disorders for the past 17 years. Twelve out these 17 years of experience, I have worked directly with adults with addiction, anger management, and self-management problems. Helping individuals and couples who are struggling with addiction problems (i.e., alcohol, illicit substances, medication abuse, gambling, technology) has been the center of my work. I have also worked with the family members of individuals who were dealing with different addictions. I understand that the impact of a loved one's addiction problems can be very overwhelming, and at times, too much to handle. There are so many problems that can impact individuals and their relationships. For this reason, helping the family members of individuals with addiction problems has also been one of my greatest passions. The impact that stems from different types of addiction include, but are not limited to toxicity in relationships, domestic violence (i.e., emotional, verbal, physical, and/or sexual abuse), grief and loss, feelings of powerless, depression, anxiety, and much more.
My approach includes cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, Rogerian, and positive psychology techniques. If you are ready to regain control over your life and work on your relationship, whether you are directly suffering from addiction problems or you have been impacted by someone else's addiction, I would like to assist you in instilling hope back into your life. There is hope for you and for your loved ones.
On a more personal note, I am originally from Brazil; however, I have been in the US for the past 24 years. I am currently a proud American citizen. I enjoy meditation and walking, and I love animals. Additionally, helping others has been among my greatest passions. So, I absolutely look forward to working with you.

Dr. Jackson is amazing, she has helped me so much in my darkest times.
Dr. Jackson has been amazing.
Dr. Jackson has been extremely helpful in helping me cope with a very difficult situation. She listened and opened my eyes to different ways of handling the issues without getting overwhelmed. When we started I would say I was on a stress level of 9 out of 10, but month 3, my stress went down to 3 out of 10! She’s just awesome!
I really appreciate the steps you are helping me with to get better.
Dr. Jackson is very helpful and patient. She encouraged my wife and I to communicate better. This improvement in our marriage was key in our growth.
Dr. Jackson is great so far so good... I like to see what the future holds for my family. Thank you for the help!
Dr. Jackson is a kind, knowledgeable and patient counselor that has allowed my wife and I to get back on track in a rather short time!
Dr.Jackson is an amazing counselor. I love her and I made a connection with her my first time speaking with her. She makes you feel comfortable and want to open up to her.
Dr J, Really appreciating our conversations and your objectivity and support.
Very professional and takes the time to really listen.
Dr. Jackson has been amazing right from the start! She is caring and has really gone the extra mile for us, and I'm so grateful to have been paired with her. This site as well as her, have been an absolute godsend.
Thank you, Daniella.
I really appreciate her patience. I was skeptical about the whole on-line counseling. I am old school and like dealing with these issues on a one on one basis. I am hoping to have a live session soon too.
