About me

Hi! My name is Colleen. I have my Masters in Social Work with a specialization in schools. I am currently working on completing a certification to be a certified drug and alcohol counselor as I feel that is a problem that affects many people. I have been working in alternative schools for most of my career but also worked in private practice for many years. I have worked with children and teens on many issues such as anger, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and anxiety. While in private practice I also worked with couples as well as individuals dealing with marital discourse and adults with anxiety and depression.

My approach is engaging and calm. I like to meet clients where they are at and take things at a pace they are comfortable with. I use solution based approaches, as well as dialectal behavioral therapy and cognitive therapy. I believe that everyone is different and no one approach works for all clients. I will base my approach on your specific needs.
