ABOUT ME
Claude Ouellette, PhD LMHC in Washington State. I have over 30 years of experience in Mental Health and Psychology. I work as a clinician as well as providing online teaching in the field of Child Psychology. I earned my Master Degree in Child and Development Studies (Laurentian University) in 1994 and graduated with a PhD in Psychology from Capella University in 2011.
I work best with anxiety-based disorder, trauma, relationship issues, and depression. My preferred mode of interaction is through video contacts which unfortunately at this time can only offer on Wednesday and Saturday for telehealth work. If you decide to work with me, you will find a therapy style based on phenomenology (I like to know who the person is - their experiences), narrative therapy (what we say and how we say it) and some interpersonal skill building work (e.g., how do I not engage in power struggle in my relationships).
As you work with me, you will also notice a French accent. This is because I grew up in a French family in Northern Ontario. I have been living in the US since 2002 and naturalized American. If all of this is agreeable, it will be a pleasure and am looking forward in working with you!
