About me
Welcome, thank you for reaching out during a difficult time.
I graduated with my BA from the University of Vermont, I then moved to Houston, Texas to attend the University of Houston-Clear Lake and earned my graduate degree in psychology specializing in Marriage and Family therapy. I did my residency with Baylor University at the Star of Hope, a women and family homeless shelter. Some of these individuals were battling mental disorders, addiction, abuse, depression, family dysfunction but they all wanted to resolve their issues to work on a better future for themselves and their family. From there I transitioned to private practice. I have been practicing for over 13 yrs and have worked with individuals and couples who are battling (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, infidelity, addiction, abuse, life transitions, grief, divorce. My definition of a family is not limited to your immediate family, I believe that it includes everyone that has had any type of influence and impact on your life.
I would like to share with you my approach to therapy. I consider this to be your journey and I have the privilege to come along. It is my job to help you look behind every tree and under every rock so that you are able to make the most informed decisions along the way that will lead you to the destination you have chosen. I feel it is important for you to believe in the goals that we are working on, this does not mean that the goals can’t be altered or changed along the way, but these are your goals not mine. There are times when we get suffocated by this thing that we call life, when we find ourselves in this position we need to pull back the layers and get back to basics. We make sure we take our car in for an oil change, go to the doctor, get our haircut, etc. This all means that we are doing the maintenance to the things we consider important but the marriage/relationship ends up being neglected because we think it can wait and before you know it the relationship and connection no longer works.
I consider the world to be your classroom and if you want change to happen you have to make change happen. With that being said, I give homework therefore our sessions will continue to help you in your daily routine. We can talk everyday but if I do not give you the chance to try the techniques we work on in your everyday life then nothing will change. The homework will include individual and exercises you will need to do together. The assignments will be adjusted to your situation and progress.
I look forward to working with you.

Smartest woman in the world. Period.
She has been a huge support for working on our marriage. There’s work, but you shouldn’t be afraid of that. It’s for a good reason.
Solid!
She’s been great. No BS...honest and real!
She’s amazing, and hard on you all at the same time. No BS with her at all. She has been great for us.
Celine listened to me and my husband and gave us unbiased feedback. It was exactly what we needed!
Strong willed and fair counselor for couples. Celine will work with you to figure out what are your concerns and how they are affecting your relationship.

Celine helped guide us to the best possible resolution in our relationship. Her advice and guidance have been invaluable.
Celine Medlock is very approachable, respectful, compassionate, understanding, professional, and knowledgeable. I was able to open up with her right away about any and all concerns I have about my mental health and marriage concerns. She respects my need for alternative methods of finding ways to cope through my mental illness so that I am able to feel empowered to overcome obstacles on my own. Whenever I have something to share she listens with understanding and kindness, notices when I show sadness, and compassionately comforts while providing expert constructive feedback. I highly recommend her!
