About me
Brian J Williams
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
I SPECIALIZE in COUPLES: married, engaged, separated, living together... fighting, not talking, unhappy or hopeless. Calling a couples counselor is hard. "What good is it talking to a stranger?!" You've tried everything maybe even counseling—nothing works.. You're stuck. That's where I can help. Believe it or not there are ways to make it better. Your partner may be afraid or doesn't want to come. I don't criticize. I don't take sides. I don't judge. Don't kid yourself: it can be hard work but it also can be fun.
I use tested methods & A SENSE OF HUMOR. 1/2 of what I know is training. The rest from being married over 30 years & working with couples just like you. I studied with John Gottman you've seen on Oprah. My wife & I have been in counseling, more than once.
How do you pick a counselor? Someone you both like and trust? First, find someone that specializes in couples. Call, email or text with your questions. My website BrianWilliamsTherapist.net explains how I work, tips to make things better quickly & some resources if you decide not to do counseling now.

Reviews

So far this is great
Brian has been exceptional to work with. He is always quick to respond to messages, consistently on time for our virtual sessions, and brings a level of professionalism that immediately puts you at ease. His advice is thoughtful, highly personalized, and it’s clear he truly listens to what we’re saying rather than offering generic guidance.
The homework he assigns between sessions is meaningful and has helped us continue making progress outside of therapy. Brian has a remarkable ability to challenge us while also making us feel heard and supported. His experience and insight are evident in every session, and we’ve seen real growth in our relationship because of his guidance. We highly recommend him to any couple looking for a therapist who is engaged, compassionate, and genuinely invested in helping relationships heal and grow.
Awesome. Very kind and listens well. A pleasure meeting him.

Good, listens well and understanding
Having a great experience with Brian so far!
Brian Williams is amazing, helpful and insightful!
Brian has been a tremendous help. Is very kind and understanding. We’ve been so grateful for his help.
Brian is tremendous… professional, knowledgeable, witty and has proven to be a valuable resource on our journey. However, if you are the type of person who does not want to be challenged, if you do not want someone to tactfully walk you through the truth or push you to self evaluate and self discover … don’t choose Brian. Brain will never belittle you, but he will challenge you and tell you the truth. If you want to go on “that” journey, and do so with someone who is invested in you and obviously cares … then Brian is your guy.
Since I tapped into the power of Regain, I almost immediately began living a more serene life.
So far we are very happy with the advice we have been given and our relationship is improving.
Brian is very attentive, funny, and relatable. We highly recommend him.
Listens. Cares. Extremely valuable time spent with him
