About me

I am Brett L. Rhoden, born in Jacksonville, Florida, with a documented joint family history, extending prior to the Revolutionary war. I graduated from high school in Jacksonville, obtained my BA from the University of Florida in 1974, and my MA from the University of North Carolina in 1980, following the completion of a thesis in play therapy. 'The Therapeutic Use of Play and Child Therapy'. I am licensed in Florida with 50 + years of professional work experience. Over the past 50 years, I have easily amassed over 7000 hours of individual supervision by a Triple Board Certified Child Psychiatrist, Child Neurologist, and Pediatrician. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, relationship issues, & trauma and abuse. I work with couples to repair trust, improve communication, and strengthen their emotional intimacy with each other. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
