When our relationship with our significant other(partner) is in conflict it can be a painful experience. Relationships under extreme ongoing conflict can often damage a previously positive relationship. Couples often need assistance to assess previous trauma, old hurts, communication styles, attachment styles, and family dynamics. It can often help to assess conflict resolution skills, ability to respect each other, ability to forgive and have compassion. I will join with you in therapy with empathy and non-judgement to help you develop an understanding of the dynamics fueling your relationship conflict. This will be a process of psycho-education(skill building) and personal evaluation and developing awareness of each persons contribution to the conflict. We will gain an under standing of these dynamics and how they are causing your conflict. As your helper I will utilize a variety of proven therapeutic modalities and theory( this will include homework, skill building exercises and personal journaling). As you gain an understanding of your conflict and develop new awareness and skill my desired outcome is for you to be empowered to find respect, forgiveness and compassion for each other. I look forward to working with you!
