About me

Hello and Welcome,

Thank you for reaching out for help and support. You have already taken the first step to feeling better by engaging in the therapeutic counseling process. Many times, meeting with a therapist or being in counseling for the first time can be stressful. I hope to put you at ease if this is the case. I provide a safe, caring, non-judgmental space to process your concerns and move forward in a positive direction. If you have been in therapy before, welcome back. Building trust in a therapeutic relationship is the highest priority for me. I feel honored and humbled when clients let me into their world.

In the counseling relationship you will find you do not have to be alone in your struggles. You deserve the very best that life has to offer and you are certainly able to attain a happy, healthy sense of well-being. Everything you need to increase your awareness and reach a healing state is already within you. I believe that you are the expert of you.

I graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Social Work. Throughout my 20 year’s experience, one of my areas of expertise has been couples counseling. I have extensive experience in helping couples improve the quality of their relationships. I have an eclectic approach that integrates Imago and Solution Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy. I have helped with strengthening relationships, pre-marital therapy, conflict resolution, GLBT relationships, communication skills, sex and intimacy, raising children, blended families, divorce and separation, and finding shared meaning in relationships. Counseling sessions allow each person to be heard and understood at a deeper emotional level. I create a safe, compassionate, and trusting environment and facilitate productive conversation that leads to desired outcomes. I will listen to understand what you each hope to achieve through the counseling process.

I help clients define their goals for treatment and incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet their individual needs.

I will meet you where you are at and help you make sense of your experiences. I will help you better understand who you are and figure out how to change the things that are keeping you stuck. I would welcome the opportunity to help you explore your concerns and share some tools and techniques to help you navigate your path forward.

Beverly was extremely helpful and made us both feel very welcomed and comfortable in a situation that was very anxiety inducing for the both of us. Couldn’t be more appreciative of how she handled our therapy and for the great advice she imparted on us.
