Born and raised in Dallas, Texas (Go Cowboys!), I come from family of teachers. I began my professional career as a teacher for 9 years before becoming a school counselor for 4 years. I received my undergraduate degree in Education from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Ok and my Master's degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas. Traveling is my most favorite thing to do, and if there's a beach involved, I'm there!
I've worked with couples for many years who are having a hard time working through the many difficulties of life. From rebuilding trust, communication breakdown, intimacy and connectedness, or life changes we will work together to build a healthy, loving relationship that can thrive and grow. Using CBT and other cognitive strategies, I provide a comfortable, supporting, and relaxing environment where my clients can feel free to explore their feelings and behaviors and set goals to achieve the satisfying and fulfilling life they desire. Working together, we will use practical and relatable strategies to help you achieve your goals.
I understand that the decision to seek counseling can be a difficult first step to make. Taking that step together, we will work towards helping you to take control of your life and experience the fullness of all that life has to offer.
I look forward to working with you!

LPC #70779 (Expires: 2022-09-30)
She is a thoughtful counselor, takes her time to hear concerns, and responds timely to issues outside of video sessions. I find her very competent in her work and really appreciate the help she is providing in our counseling sessions so far. I am very pleased to be linked with Angel on this platform.
She is very attentive to all of what I have to say and she offers me great advice and help in order to get positive outcomes and results. Thank you so much for your amazing help, you have been helping make my life less stressful and overall better.
Angel is a great counselor it is all I have to say about her
I love working with Angel, she’s understanding and helps you identify the problem and gives you the right tools to help you through.
She does a great job and is very kind. This format does take a certain type of couple though. I think it is very worthwhile though.
Angel is awesome!
My husband and I are just now getting to know Angel and visa versa. So far she seems to have been that grounded accountability we do desperately needed to stop the arguing, and take a step back for some real self reflection and GRACE. That one got me lol. We’re now confident we’re on the right path with therapy in general, and so far we’re very happy Angel in on our team!
Angel is professional and understanding. It’s great for a non biased 3rd party to listen to your thoughts and guide you to make the best decisions.
I believe Angel Shaw is helping us rebuild our relationship and guiding us towards building something that will last. Thankful for her listening to us and communicating with us even though it is hard with our schedules.
Angel really is helping me. I stopped for a few months to try in person counseling but it didn’t work. I’ve come back to Angel because I believe she truly listens and analyzed the situation. I believe that with her help I will get through this.
I have appreciated and enjoyed working with Angel. I feel my relationship has improved. She's been great to work with. Thanks!
Ms Shaw has been extremely helpful to me. I've been able to gain a better perspective of my partner, myself, and our relationship.
