About Me

As a trained Mediator, I am able to guide you in the process of conflict resolution. I do NOT take sides, but rather assist you in gaining an understanding of each other, finding common interests and resolving your issue so that both sides win. Relationships can challenge us to grow more than most any other challenge. By learning about emotional intelligence and active listening we can choose how we respond to others in our lives.
My approach is extremely collaborative, with unconditional positive regard. If you are looking for a non judgmental, supportive therapist who is willing to think outside the box to help you reach your goals, when life throws you off track, then please let me help you find your path. The most challenging times in our lives are also the moments that contain the highest potential for growth. Our work together would involve challenging patterns that no longer serve you and replacing them with ones that catapult you towards your healthiest self. Sometimes we feel like we have no choices and life is happening to us. However, by remembering that we can choose how we respond to the events in our lives we can be empowered to grow, thereby gaining wisdom and strength. I feel that my prime directive is to get to know you as well as possible, so that I can offer the best questions for you to consider or clinically proven tools to try. You are the expert on you. I am a consultant. If at anytime, I offer a suggestion that does not feel right for you, please feel free to let me know so that together we can think outside the box and find a workable solution.
Although I am a generalist, my 26 years of experience, has afforded me some specialty in ADHD, mood disorders, and parenting. I have experience working with people from 3 to 100 years old. You may learn more about me and my practice at www.alligrace.com

Allison was an incredibly supportive and effective counselor for us. She clearly was an active listener and showed us compassion while still speaking frankly and from the heart.

Allison has been an amazing counselor. She's very caring, empathetic, understanding, never judges, and always listens. Me and my wife had some incredibly tough times along with some very intense personal issues. Allison remained 100% neutral and took no side, only helped us figure out what it is we truly need and where our problems came from. Eventually I had her as my own individual counselor also and she was just as fantastic. In the end she helped me through the hardest time of my life and also helped us with the problems and what we needed to do individually to fix them.

If it's as a couple, or as an individual I highly recommend Allison for anyone having a tough time who needs someone to talk things through with.

We worked with Allison for 6 months and thought she was great. She helped us developed skills to better communicate with one another and also helped us better ourselves as individuals. She is a wonderful listener and does an amazing job acting as a unbiased mediator when resolving conflicts and working to better understand one another's perspectives. Highly recommended.
