Dr. Alicia Bosley

About Me

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my page.

Life is complex, unpredictable, and challenging. This can result in a lot of stress, fear, and heartbreak; but it can also bring joy, beauty, and positive change. I have over ten years' experience working with couples who are dealing with many of life's challenges, and it has been my privilege to assist them in finding their way from the first group of experiences to the second. I believe that every relationship hits its problems, but that it is what we decide to do about these problems that determine the ultimate outcome.

I have over 10 years of experience working with couples from many different backgrounds (e.g., interracial, LGBTQ+, interfaith, etc.). In therapy, my approach is collaborative, strength-focused, non-judgmental, and compassionate, and I use integrative (acceptance-based), cognitive-behavioral, and Gottman couple therapy approaches. I do not believe in using stigmatizing labels to describe my clients, but if one or both of you have a diagnosis that is helpful for you in making sense of your situation, I will always respect that. I also do not believe in choosing sides with one client over the other, or that there is automatically one "right" person in a disagreement - each person's viewpoint can be valid and it is often more about finding another way of approaching the problem than determining who was right.

It takes courage to seek change in your life, and I respect my clients for taking this important step. Together, we will create a customized plan to address the problems you are dealing with and clear the path to your best life. People are capable of amazing growth and change, especially for those they love, and I look forward to working with you as you regain a sense of yourself and come to a place of empowerment.

Dr. Bosley is very bright and insightful but not in an arrogant way rather she’s extremely conscientious and respectful. She navigates the sessions very thoughtfully not to take sides or pass personal judgements even when frankly, they are warranted yet almost magically gets her point across. We feel extremely fortunate to have her at Regain’s prices.
