Hello, my name is Alia and I'm a California licensed family and marriage therapist with more than 15 years of experience providing psychotherapy to a myriad of clients. I have extensive experience working with individual who have experienced trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-harm behaviors, family conflict, substance use, and relationship issues to name a few as well as co-morbid issues.
My counseling style is collaborative and I come from a 'Structural' modality - meaning I'm like a chameleon who can adapt to an individual's style while remaining true to myself and my clients allowing me to tailor a treatment plan and sessions to your unique needs and strengths. I believe everyone is entitled to feel what they're feeling and no issue is to big or small to discuss and overcome.
As you probably have heard, acknowledging that you are struggling with something is the first step in taking control over it -what ever that 'it' may be. Despite the difficulty in taking the first step - you have. I look forward to hearing from and working with you.

So thankful for Alia and the impact she is having in our life.
Ali is great! It’s a relief to find a counselor that gives me skills work. We’ve been working with Ali 6 months and have seen much improved communication and reduced tension/frustration. Our relationship has done a 180 in a positive direction. Due to the skills and recommendations introduced to us by Ali. I’m so grateful to be so well matched with a counselor who I feel a genuine understanding with. I appreciate the way Ali communicates with my girlfriend and I it’s always: positive, reassuring, encouraging and honest.
