Hi! My name is Alex and I've been working in counseling FT for about 5 years. I have spent the majority of those years working with individuals in the criminal justice system, specifically young adults (17-26) and their families. Most of my work is task-centered or solution focused meaning we work together to identify and solve problems, create goals, and works towards identifying ways of achieving them. These techniques can be applied to work with couples through the narrative process considering the primary focus is on getting to the route of conflict and problem solving. As a counselor, my main goal is to help you and your partner become the best versions of yourselves, which in turn will help foster a happy, healthy relationship. Topics to be covered include communication, conflict resolution, emotion identification, and problem solving.
