Akemi McGoogan

About Me

Being in a relationship can be difficult! You may find yourself wondering- What on earth could I possibly be doing wrong? Why is he/she acting like that? Are we even meant to be together? How can we recover from this infidelity? or simply the question "WTH?"when it comes to understanding your signifiant other.
Over the last few years, I've helped couples answer these questions and more! I can help you move from being in a relationship of confusion and chaos to learning healthy ways to express themselves, fighting fair and learning what makes each other happy. All couples need at least a quarterly check in with a professional to make sure that you are still on the same page and it would be my honor to help you.
I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Georgia. I received my Bachelors in Social work from NC Central University in Durham, NC (Eagle Pride!) and my Master in Direct Practice Social Work from SUNY Albany in Albany, NY. I have experience working with children, military servicemen/women, couples and young adults.
I am a knowledgeable, warm and goal oriented therapist. I use a variety of treatment modalities depending on your needs. I meet you exactly where you are with 0 judgement.
