About me
The types of therapy I use are Solution Focused, Trauma Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, while always providing Unconditional Positive Regard throughout interactions with clients as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
In over 15 years, I have helped thousands of people as a counselor and a social worker. I attended the University of Tennessee for over 6 years, primarily studying social work at the graduate level, completing a Master's of Science degree and all but dissertation (abd) in the Social Work PhD (doctoral) program. I decided teaching and research are not my passions. I enjoy serving others and watching growth and change occur.
I have also worked advising other therapists on clinical treatment needs at a community mental health center for over 3 years. I stand apart and I do not have preconceived notions about the individual I am serving, as no two people or two situations are alike.
Worksheets and references are provided to assist in the process of change, completed following sessions and to provide something real to refer to in your change process. Work is done within sessions, but the true tests are the thinking and practicing outside of our counseling sessions. I will be with you along the way, figuratively, in your heart and mind, but the true work can only be done by you.
I have worked extensively with people that have substance abuse struggles, parenting and relationship issues, and mental health difficulties (specifically trauma, bipolar, schizophrenia, anxiety and depression). I have worked with individuals, young and old, navigating sexuality and gender identity concerns. My first method of great service is to establish a totally judgment-free zone. I work to serve others and am here to serve your unique concerns and needs. You are seeking help for a reason, a change must be in order. Let's create a picture of what your ideal life would be and develop a plan together to journey to that place.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Tonya "Celeste" Agan. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
Very supportive and intuitive.
She gives tools to fix the problems and support to do it.
very goood blunnt and open minded
Very knowledgeable and insightful
Celeste has been helping my fiance and I the past month work through some issues that we have long struggled with. She is a wonderful listener and asks all the right questions to get you thinking. We've both very much enjoyed speaking with her and would highly recommend her. Another wonderful thing is her availability- she is super flexible and unlike a lot of other counselors has lots of time slots to choose from. Thank you Celeste! :)
Celeste listens and provides good feedback with resources to validate her recommendations.
Celeste has a very positive attitude and her counseling style worked very well with us! Celeste really helped us sort out some long standing conflicts
