April loves spending time with her family and friends, especially when she gets to cook large meals of yummy food for them. She spends most of her time in Rochester, Minnesota where she is a mom to two teenagers whom she homeschools and has been married to her husband for 20 years. She enjoys reading, drinking coffee (that her husband roasts), and sitting on her back deck with her family.

April believes a relationship is very important to help you achieve your goals. She offers a warm, calm presence and believes in respect, integrity, sensitivity and compassion. She tailors therapy to what works best with and for you. She utilizes many approaches such as cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, or an eclectic mix. She works with you to build goals because you know yourself best. Using these approaches and knowing her clients well helps her to contribute to knowing what content is helpful to clients and how to best serve you.
