Dr. Amar Mukhtar is a board certified Psychiatrist through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, who completed his psychiatry residency training at Virginia Commonwealth University. He completed his medical training at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine at Virginia Tech, and has a Bachelors in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech. He has extensive experience in community mental health, having worked across outpatient, telehealth, and multidisciplinary care settings.
