Greetings! I am Tinitra Trice and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Richmond, Virginia. My mantra on life is " Speak what you seek, until you see what you've said!” I have 10 years of experience working with children and adults throughout the tri city areas of Virginia via individual, group and family counseling. I work with individuals with a wide range of concerns including trauma, depression, mood disorders, family relations issues, and co-occurring disorders. I combine different therapeutic approaches based on client's presenting concerns, goals, and motivation, such as, trauma focused -cognitive-behavioral, brief therapy, person-centered, and solution-focused therapy.
One in five Americans suffer for mental illness. African- Americans are the least likely population to seek treatment. With an understanding of the stigma associated with therapy in the African American community it is my mission to bring awareness to mental health issues that plague our community and to provide you with the necessary sills to apply to all aspects of your life.
I am committed to eradicating the stigma around mental health issues in the African American community and I am glad that you have reached out for help and I look forward to working with you.

She is one of the best counselors we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I’m the small amount of time we have met with her (unfortunately, only two secessions before we ran out of money) she was the most understanding counselor that we as a couple have ever had. I highly recommend her. She is wonderful. Tinitra has given us many tools that we will use in our relationship and lives. I only wish we could have continued more.
