About me

Hello. I am Tom Wissert a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama. Through my years of working with clients with addictions, I have found many family issues are also part of the problem for these clients. As my caseload grew I became more well rounded in couples counseling helping couples work through their problems stemming from addiction and sometimes total disregard for their families. I am now much more comfortable listening to couples lay out their issues and helping them see where the trouble lies and how it developed. Whether it is intimacy, respect, communication, finances or feeling unloved, I have been able to help clients see how certain attitudes and behaviors start a down ward cycle in their relationships and then work to help the couples move toward a more loving, respectful partnership.
