Taylor Stotler

About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the states of North Carolina and California with experience both as a psychotherapist and as a wellness coach. I have worked with a wide range of clients with a focus on military members and dependents, people struggling with life stressors, trauma (combat and otherwise), marital distress, and domestic violence. I am LGBT, kink, and sex work friendly.

As a couple's counselor, I've had a number of couples who have expressed negative experiences in the past where one partner felt targeted by the therapist. My goal in all of my couple's counseling is to provide an environment where both of you feel supported throughout the process. I have worked with couples dealing with reuniting after separation, infidelity, mental health struggles, disconnection, trauma, and more. With couples I primarily utilize Gottman method strategies.

I believe that it takes courage to come to counseling and that you deserve, above all else, authenticity and a space where you can address your concerns without a fear of being judged. I'm here to support you along the way and help you reach a state of relief from whatever is bogging you down.

It has been shown that personality and meshing with your therapist has a major impact on your treatment success, so a little about me: When I'm not working, I like horseback riding, fandoms/nerd culture (I'm currently trying to beat the Witcher 3 and I have a cat named after a character in Harry Potter), reading, writing, or doing anything related to house plants & gardening. If I sound like a good fit for you, I very much look forward to talking with you!

Taylor is amazing we just started with her and already feel a great connection with her which helps us open up and be more productive in our sessions she's very understanding and listens to everything we say and knows how to get us both to be very involved.
