Relationships are difficult to navigate when you bring two individuals together from opposing views, raised in different homes, carrying the weight of emotional baggage into the relationship. There are no rules or guidelines, but there are many silent expectations. The breakdown of most relationships is not financial problems, affairs, abuse, in-laws, or other major issues. The breakdown of relationships is simple communication. Communication is the key to any good relationship so a problem will be solved with communication. When there is a breakdown in communication then problems such as anger begin to build.
Once there are problems in the relationship the damage cannot be undone, but trust has to be rebuilt and the couple needs to learn effective communication skills.
I strongly recommend pre-marital counseling for those couples who are engaged and/or dating for several months and considering marriage especially especially a second marriage. I have been providing couples counseling for 14 years. Couples counseling is a difficult process and takes time and commitment from both individuals but change is possible.

I have only had 2 sessions with Tammy. First one was kinda a meet and greet. The 2nd one we got more into our marital issues. I left that session with hope and new tools to use in a positive way for my marriage.
Tammy is AMAZING, BY FAR My favorite councilor I would definitely go to her for more than marriage help but personal as well.
Tammy understands the dynamics of marriage and finds ways to implement positive activities.
I’ve only had a couple sessions with Tammy and the technology is still evolving. So we had some technical issues but besides that she’s been surprisingly amazing and knowledgeable. She has two bachelors, a PHD and street credentials which is important for trust, understanding and relevancy. I can tell she devotes her extra time on bettering herself which means she stays ahead of her clients. She has a sense of strength with a warmth to her. She smiles often but isn’t afraid to steer you in a good direction, respectively. She’s dedicated to her craft in the long haul and that’s comforting when you think of someone who you want guiding you. She’s a great asset! Anyone working with her is lucky to have her.
Have only had one video session with Tammy but felt very comfortable right away. She was easy to talk to and came across as a competent and caring person.
