About me
I have worked with many couple over the years and found their assumptions they make about their partner often have lead to disappointment and emotional distress as they don't really listen to what their partner is saying but have preconceived notions based on their lack of understanding their partner on what is important to them. I encourage couples to practice listening and then reflecting back what they thought they heard from their partner. There are many elements to this reflective process which require work on each partner's part to clarify what was said and what was heard. I encourage couples to practice the skills of "fighting fair" and to work to resolve their conflicts.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Steven Paro. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
We appreciate Steven’s approach. He is willing to share his personal struggles, both past and present and is so relatable. He is genuine and compassionate.
A very thoughtful therapist.
It was very challenging to deal with my breakup. But Dr. Steven was always there for me.
