About me
I have been married thirty six years and raised four children to adulthood. I currently have four grandchildren and live in the mountains of Idaho.
I enjoy engaging in the discussion of what makes us our best self and returning to what is my source of power, We discover together, how you can capitalize on that strength and use it to build or nourish crucial relationships. By reviewing processing deficits or thinking errors, we identify behaviors of emotions that are self-destructive or debilitating.
I rely on the Gottman method in much of my therapeutic methodology blending in CBT and personal experience. In couples and family therapy we work to find ways that we tend to sabotage ourselves, other relationships and inadvertently set ourselves up to fail. While doing this we identify the impact of such behavior and plan for how to change habits or eliminate negative tendencies.
Restoring joy to the heart and mind of those who have lost that spark or are finding it difficult to get past traumatic events or relationships, can bring a sense of hope and self-accomplishment that will energize themselves and others. With courage, commitment and effort, this can be done!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Steven Parker. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
He gently challenged, truly listened, and prescribed truly helpful behavior changes to me.
He was professional, sincere, and empathetic.
Anyone dedicated to transforming their perspective and behavior will greatly benefit from his experience and passion for what he does.
Steven is great.
We’ve only had two sessions but we see an exceptional difference in his level of dedication. We look forward to our sessions with him and highly recommend!
Steven is a skilled therapist and has been of great help to me.
Steven was very helpful and supportive. We had a difficult schedule due to having two small children and no family/support in the area to watch them for us so we could attend counseling. Steven was more than willing to meet with us at night, after our children had gone to sleep, in order to accommodate our needs. He listened to both of our sides without judgement, tried to understand the perspective each of us were coming from, and offered strategies to help us communicate and understand the other's point of view. I would highly recommend reaching out to Steven for his services.
Steven is a pleasure to deal with and has built trust with us both exceptionally quickly. He is just great to work with. He is great at getting to the root of an issue and providing helpful tools to resolve core issues.
