About me

I am Gottman trained couples therapist licensed in Florida with over 20 years of experience working with clients from a diverse background and age groups. I earned my Bachelors degree from Syracuse University in Psychology as well as a minor in Child and Family Studies. I attended San Jose State University for my Masters in Social work with a clinical focus on child and family issues. I have worked with clients in private practice as well as community and school based settings.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including sexual addiction, parenting issues, , pre-marital concerns, life challenges, depression, and anxiety, to name a few. I am trained in providing trauma-informed care, working with clients facing perinatal loss and postpartum concerns, and conflict resolution and mediation. I am Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work and Bringing Baby Home educator who is passionate about the work I do and empowering my clients to find their way back to a meaningful relationship.

I am a culturally competent clinician who believes in treating everyone with dignity, respect, and empathy. As such, I tailor our conversations to meet each couple’s specific and unique needs. I believe in empowering clients to find their voices to speak positivity and truth to their lives. While I primarily take a client-centered and solution-focused approach in treatment I employ a variety of treatment modalities that include, but is not limited to, psychodynamic, psychoanalysis, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, Gottman, and interpersonal.

You have taken the first step in being here to seek support for your journey. Let me walk along with you and help you find the tools to rebuild your relationship to achieve the change you seek.

I look forward to working with you!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Sonya Belletti. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.

We went back to Sonya after our first initial meeting last year. (We stepped away for individual therapy.) Our experience with our first initial session left a great impression on us. So the transition to be back in session with her has been graceful, welcoming and informative. We are excited to see what our upcoming sessions will be. We are extremely thankful to have such a well educated and compassionate person like Sonya guide us in our journey.

After 2+ decades of countless sessions with dozens of therapists, Sonya has quickly shown to be the most caring, open, understand, and helpful people I’ve ever worked with. You can trust her for sound advice and insight, and that she truly wants the best for both halves of the whole. I hope this serves as both a review, and a “thank you”.
