Sherie Abel

About Me

Hi and Welcome,

Feeling Crazy? Lost your peace? Struggling with thoughts and emotions? Sometimes life can lead us to a place where we want to “give up.”

If you’re reading this you are probably looking for support. You’ve come to the right place. It takes a strong person to seek out counseling and support to initiate the change you are looking for. I would love to help you get there.

My name is Sherie Abel. I’ve been a licensed Marriage and Family therapist for almost 20 years. Counseling is an area that ignites my passion. During sessions the world stands still as I learn about you individually and as a couple to help you reach your goals. I want to make sure that everyone feels heard as we work on the stressful issues of life.

One of the most important building blocks for growth in therapy is the relationship between the individual and the therapist. My approach is different with every individual, depending on their specific needs.

I can help you regain your perspective and focus by providing you with tools to help you get back on track. It’s time to exchange fear, anxiety or panic for peace.

I am a Solution-Focused Therapist that incorporates a variety of psychodynamic and Evidenced-Based therapies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to Mindfulness.

Written by A.J. on Mar 18, 2020 after counseling with Sherie for 2 weeks on issues concerning relationship

You can tell Sherie really takes the time to listen and think about your concerns and addresses them instead of just passing out quick advice, she really has helped me think through a lot of my own issues and helped me become more cognizant of my interactions in the time I’ve had her as my counselor. I really appreciate her! I didn’t think counseling wasn’t for me but she has totally changed my opinion of it
