About me
My name is Shandi Gerkin. I am a licensed mental health counselor, LMHC, and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, CRC. I graduated from Thomas University with a Master's of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling and received my Bachelor's of Psychology from St. Mary of the Woods College. I am a wife and a mother and I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am trained in several treatment modalities, including EMDR, hypnosis, CBT, and mindfulness. I enjoy helping others reach their potential and feel I was born to help others. I am a mother of 2, a stepmother to 1, a foster mother to several, and a grandparent. I have experienced marriage, divorce, remarriage, and death of a spouse. I have experience working with couples who have experienced infidelity, financial issues, differences in childbearing plans, and those contemplating divorce. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
