Prof. Sara Chesters

About Me

I specialize in working with couples at high stress times in their relationships or during times of transition and uncertainty. Working with couples takes experience and expertise and I offer you over ten years' focusing on assisting very diverse couples to create the intimacy, joy and happiness that they were hoping for when they first met. I work with clients from a broad range of cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds. I particularly enjoy partnering with couples transitioning through key life moments, like marriage, parenthood, moving towards middle years, and redefining a relationship once children have left the family home. My clients and I partner and collaborate in a safe, non-judgmental environment to create lasting change. Couples often tell me that they're surprised to find they actually look forward to therapy and enjoy our time together and the progress we are making. I can offer specific guidance in situations regarding infidelity (including online liaisons), substance abuse, loss of love and intimacy, new baby, and "empty nest" life adjustments. I look forward to helping you and our partner to enhance your communication, build trust, develop greater intimacy and start living the life together that you hoped for when you first fell in love.
