You've already taken the first step towards recovering your mental heath, and together, we can get you feeling better. Seeking help for mental health is not easy, and it's even harder when you're doing it for yourself and your significant other. I would be honored to help you both on this journey of re-discovery.
I'm Salma and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I got my Master's in Social Work from USC and I have over a decade of experience working with individuals couples, and families dealing with relationship issues; depression and anxiety; and I have specific experience working with individuals with substance issues, domestic violence, and elderly issues (e.g., advanced care planning, grief). Some people were going through a rough patch in their lives temporarily, and others had just suffered a tragedy that had set their life on a completely different course. Whatever it may be that has led you to find BetterHelp and me, I feel confident that we can work together to sort through it and develop goals that are manageable and attainable.
We can work together to maximize your own unique strengths, and help you find ways to improve the quality of your relationship by improving your communication skills and while you each develop your unique strengths and confidence. We can work together to empower you to live your best life, together, in friendship and companionship. This may mean making behavior changes, helping you find motivation, or prioritizing your short term goals.
