Hi, my name is Sally I am excited about working with Better Help to expand my ability to help others. I have been a therapist in New York for twenty years and I really love what I do and hope to share that love with you. I graduated from Stony Brook University with a Masters Degree in Social Work and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in addiction, outpatient clinics, mental health clinics, in- home care and with crime victims. I have worked with all ages from children to elderly adults, with many different issues. My approach is very eclectic in style and client based. I believe the client is the most important person in the relationship and therapy works best when we build a relationship of trust and respect for one another in an accepting environment. My job is to guide you to a place of optimal functioning by identifying the skills that help you be the best version of yourself. I want you to recognize your progress and feel empowered to confront any problem or emotion that may come your way. I am looking forward to meeting you.

Sally Ruocco Mcdonald is a great listener and takes her time understanding both partners. I love how she never gets lost finding us a solution, she have multiple suggestions on what we can do to solve our issues. Even throughout the week after we already had our video session she gives us assignments that helps alot. She responds back in a timely manner and makes me feel comfortable expressing myself and doesn't come off as judgemental just helpful and I love that about her.
