About me
I am 50 years old, married, and have three children. I have a Master’s in Professional Counseling, am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the state of Florida, and I have my Master's Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) and International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC) certifications in FL. I have worked; for over 6 years in substance use treatment, at South County Mental Health Clinic CSU, a Private Practice Psychotherapist, and am currently working as a Mental Health Counselor in Palm Beach County School District serving children and their families. I graduated with honors from Grand Canyon University with my Master’s degree for Professional Counseling on April 23, 2016; and with honors in October 2011 with a Bachelors of Science in Addiction Counseling. In addition, I hold an Associates Degree in Business Management obtained in 1990 from Lehigh County Community College in PA.
I have experience and understanding with relationships, and working with client couples to heal those relationships. I possess experience in working with families/blended families/same sex marriages through substance use, anger problems, domestic violence, self-harm, depression, anxiety and more; to help regain and understanding of our own behaviors and reactions to our loved ones. I have learned a great deal, even after all the schooling, in working with people directly through the therapeutic process. This has helped to serve as a strength for me in my counseling career. My passion is to work with clients and their families/loved ones through the counseling process, and gain a better understanding of each other. I am right where I am supposed to be in my life through my experiences and relationships that I have developed over the years, and will have the opportunity to help others with their journey through life as well.
