I hold a Master of Divinity Degree and have served as a minister in numerous ministry positions. I also have both a master’s degree in Counseling and a Doctorate Degree in Counselor Education and Supervision. My career service in addition to ministry includes several years of teaching counseling and psychology courses at the university level. During this period at the university, I also served over ten years as the Chairman of the Department of Counseling and Psychology. I continue to enjoy the teaching role by serving as a state approved supervisor for interns who are seeking licensure to become Licensed Professional Counselors. My activities in community mental health include remaining active in my private practice which I have done for over 20 years. My various past positions have included serving as an active director of a community crisis/suicide center, serving as director of university student counseling services, launching programs for children and high school peer support, leading support groups for domestic violence victims, providing outreach assistance for homebound and elderly residents, and working as a community distributor for FEMA assistance to residents in dire circumstances.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-S) and have over 20 years’ experience practicing psychotherapy with individuals and couples with a wide variety of mental health/emotional issues as well as working with couples who are attempting to strengthen relational bonds.
