I believe in a goal-oriented approach to therapy by helping clients build on their strengths and values distinct to them. I encourage clients to see themselves as unique, creative, and responsible individuals; capable of striving for self-improvement and self-fulfillment. As a therapist, I see a variety of clients, focusing on adults with depression and anxiety issues. I am passionate about helping people find happiness, direction and fulfillment. I see my clients with a holistic approach, emphasizing a trusting, respectful relationship, developing and empowering proactive behaviors, while appreciating their individual qualities. I believe fostering effective change is developed with openness and honesty during our sessions- focusing on individual concerns, questions and frustrations and working from there. I realize sometimes it is difficult asking for help, therefor, believe it shows how much my clients understand the importance of making intentional efforts to have good health and happiness in life.
In couples counseling, I believe many issues arise and may spiral out of control due to growing disconnections and mis/lack of communication. I will strive to help you improve your relationship skills by working with you and/or your partner to understand different perspectives in the relationship and grow from the, together. I will be available to you and your partner to bridge any gap in communication to resolve the core issues and with a neutral and respectful approach.
