About Me

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in various counseling modalities for individuals and couples. In addition to traditional therapy, I have a background in substance abuse counseling and am board certified in behavior analysis. Over the years, I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, OCD, ADHD, and substance abuse. I have extensive experience helping individuals who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse, as well as helping those who care about them.

My counseling style is non-judgmental, collaborative, and compassionate. I strongly believe in a strength-based approach that allows an individual to discover or affirm their unique gifts. These strengths are often highlighted in challenging times when they are most needed. I believe that as we work on ourselves, our ability to have fulfilling relationships increases. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior, and psychodynamic therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

I commend you in taking that first step in establishing the relationship you’ve always wanted. It’s my honor to share this important time in your life with you and I look forward to working with you!

We have had 5 sessions with Renee, and we have already found it beneficial to our relationship. It is very useful to have an independent third party that does not judge one way or another, and we are very grateful that we can have these confidential sessions in the privacy of our own home.

Renee is a very good counselor. Our options for couples counseling in an office setting were almost non-existent, and this is a great alternative we can use in the comfort of our own home. She is unbiased, and I appreciate her sessions. They have helped our relationship greatly in 4 sessions.
