About Me
Welcome! It is my honor and privilege to work as a therapist. I have worked in the field of counseling for 25 years, offering supports in the areas of personal development, professional coaching and self-advocacy. My graduate studies were in the area of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and doctoral work in the are of Cultural Diversity and Inclusivity.
Counselor - As a therapist working with individuals, providing a safe space where a client can be open in sharing their story, exploring their life and reflecting on positives and negatives is my goal. I like the term 'naturally therapeutic' as people find the approach supportive, helpful and meaningful. Identification of concerns, development of goals and implementation of new strategies and skills are a helpful sequence for growth. Some counseling modalities supportive of these strategies include Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
Coach - As a therapist working with individuals, there is often a connection between a clients personal issues and their professional development. This may become a good opportunity to look at professional growth and for development of career goals. Linking these to personal objectives can provide opportunities for generalization of skills into the world of work and positive growth professionally. Additional to other therapies, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Mentalization Based Therapy are helpful tools.
Consultant - Many adults have identified special needs, specifically ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Sensory Processing Disorders, Autism, etc. While they may have developed coping skills and strategies, as one moves into the world of work, relationships and family life, new skills and strategies may be needed. Self- advocacy is an important skill and strategy for higher education and working environments. My work as a special education specialist and advocate can help adults become skilled and empowered into adult circumstances. Some modalities might include those mentioned above or additionally Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Psychological Testing and Evaluation would be useful to consider.
Couples and family strengthening is a great rationale for seeking counseling.
My work with couples focuses on identifying communication barriers and needs, strengthening the core of what brought the couple together creating the family unit and healthy individualization within the couple/family unit. Family Systems/Family of Origin work can help the couple objectively look at their history, learned values and priorities and family patterns. Dysfunctional family patterns may shed light on functioning levels of current relationships.
What brought the couple together initially is a baseline in understanding the individuals needs and wants. Exploration and of their current goals and working toward future goals can help a family system refocus on their desire for a relationship that meets all their needs.
As well, a couple rearing children have needs often not addressed. This can come in the form of 'parenting' training. Working with couples using a researched based parenting program can often help decrease parenting stress, provide supports to a couple parenting and ultimately improve the quality of family life.

This is my first experience with tele-therapy, but Rebecca has created a comfortable and easy entrance into it. She’s been an astute, even-keeled and empathetic listener. Though I’ve only had two sessions, I feel hopeful that I’ll make good progress toward my goals with Rebecca.
Great counselor
As someone who has never done counseling before, I always wondered what the experience would be like... Rebecca listens and really makes you feel comfortable opening up and expressing your feelings. Only have meeting with her a couple of times, I think she understands us and will be able to help us overcome our issues.
Great and easy to use
Rebecca is friendly, patient and affable. Gives solid advice and has helped greatly!
Rebecca is great. She is non-judgmental and supportive and makes me feel very comfortable to open up. She has helped me a lot with strategies to overcome my anxiety and I’ve very grateful. I would definitely recommend her to others.
Rebecca is incredibly easy to talk to, very insightful, kind and experienced. She’s nonjudgemental, intuitive, supportive and has been so helpful to my partner and I. We are so thankful we were matched with her and would absolutely recommend her to any LGBTQ couple wanting relationship counseling.
Rebecca Ingallas... let's just say I’ve seen many counselors in my time and she is easy to talk, and open up to (that is huge for me as I am an introvert and don’t open up to anyone). She has shined light on areas that others have failed to see! Absolutely amazing! I can count the number of people that I’ve opened up to on one hand and she is one of them!!
Rebecca has been wonderful, we both feel blessed and grateful to have met her at this time.
Rebecca helped me through a difficult time with my relationship and I will always be thankful for that. I would highly recommend Rebecca.
Rebecca is a thoughtful and patient listener. Our sessions have given me more confidence and her suggestions have been both practical and creative. Her experiences with ASD have also made her a perfect counselor for us.
Ms. Ingalls has been wonderful to work with in our short time together. She is a great listener who creates a real sense of trust and engagement. I find her very approachable and understanding. I would recommend her to my friends who seek counseling.
Rebecca has been such a positive influence on my troubles. I have found her wise, understanding and compassionate. She has been extremely helpful in responding with appropriate insights and informative articles. I have full confidence in her expertise as a counselor.
Rebecca is warm and empathetic. She takes the time to ask probing questions that help her understand what I'm struggling with, while also helping me to reflect on things. I feel comfortable messaging Rebecca at any time, whether it be to ask for help or to simply journal my thoughts. She has provided articles to help me through anxiety, and resources to help me establish supports locally. I would recommend Rebecca, and this therapy platform, to anyone. I am accessing her help from across the globe, yet have never been more satisfied with a counseling experience.
We have continued to have our meetings with Rebecca and both Mark and I like that the pace she sets which is congruent with our pace.
Rebecca is an excellent counselor. She listens to our concerns and knows exactly what and where our problems lie. She is extremely patient and understanding. Highly recommended.
