Welcome to BetterHelp and for taking the first step toward a better, healthier you!
The process of finding a therapist can be overwhelming, so I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself.
I grew up in an upper-middle class family in Southern California where I rode horses competitively as a pre-teen, but also spent the majority of my weekends playing volleyball at the beach. I went on to a prominent private high school where I excelled academically, but also thrived on the volleyball court. For all intents and purposes, everything appeared fantastic from the outside looking in, however, like a lot of families, there were internal family dynamics that made things less than ideal. This is where my interests in psychology began. Upon graduating from Mater Dei high school with honors and receiving a collegiate scholarship for academics and volleyball, I found my calling. I graduated from St. Mary’s University and also earned my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. From there, I furthered my education and received an additional Masters in Education, as well as, also earning a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. I launched my career serving the Orange County Medi-Cal population for 13 years, as well as maintaining a private practice in Newport Beach, California. I have taught at the Doctorate and Master’s level in Clinical Psychology as well as Marital and Therapy programs and I have served as the Regional Program Director, overseeing 3 clinics at Western Youth Services in Orange County, California. For the past 18 years, I have worked with serious, persistent mentally ill adults and children in outpatient, educational and crisis settings and in July 2008, I began my employment with the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health where I held the Clinical Supervisor position with Community Crisis Services and initiated and implemented the Crisis Walk‐In Clinic in Rialto. I currently hold the position of Coordinator of Mental Health Services overseeing mental health services provided in the Perris Union High School District and I have served in the role of Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) therapist with Perris Union High School District and continues to strive for ways to improve the lives of persons with mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
I have over 10 years experience working with couples in my private and group practices. I have assisted clients in dealing with issues such as infidelity, pre-marital counseling, "getting the passion back" and reconnecting with each other. Often times the issues we face as couples stem from our family issues that are unresolved. Once we can begin to work through those issues and how we bring them into our present relationships, we can begin to heal.
I very much look forward to hearing from you but more importantly working with you and getting to know you better.

We’ve only had one live session so far but I felt really comfortable with Rebecca. In fact it was my first therapy session ever, so while it’s extremely new and fresh I’m excited to continue the work.
Dr. Gehlke is amazing. I personally had some concerns about spending the money on therapy but our couple definitely needed it. I was very timid in our first few exchanges but soon enough, Dr. Gehlke asked us about a video session and it helped tremendously. I feel much more confident talking about our issues and finding solutions. It seemed very daunting to have a couple's counselor being so young and so freshly married but Dr. Gehlke made us feel like it was a very normal flow and she is helping us getting our little spark back. We scheduled weekly video sessions and I look forward to them. Dr. Gehlke is super approachable and makes me feel super at ease. I‘m’ so grateful we got paired with her！
Rebecca is awesome.
Very nice and smart counselor. I highly recommend her!
Dr. Gehlke is great. She is genuinely interested in your issues and wants to help in any way she can. She is very flexible with schedules and sacrifices her own personal time to reach out to address any urgent matters.
Dr. Rebecca has been nothing short of amazing. She has seen me through the most difficult time of my life. She shows true compassion and empathy for her clients and doesn't just treat you like 'a patient'. I really feel comfortable being myself and opening up to Dr. Rebecca like I would open up to a friend.
She makes herself available when I need someone to talk to and I think that is the best part of ReGain. It is nice to know that I can send Dr. Rebecca a quick note and she will respond in a timely manner.
She recommends activities for me to do and material for me to read and best of all, she is just there to lend an ear when I need someone the most.
I highly highly recommend Dr. Rebecca - she is fantastic! I am so happy I found ReGain and blessed to have been matched with her.
Dr G. Is an amazing doctor and always listens and gives me great advice. I would recommend her to anyone seeking therapy!
