Hi, my name is Racquel Smith, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida. I earned my Master of Social Work and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hunter College in New York City. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including infertility, parenting issues, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, career challenges, and loss and grief. I also helped many people who have end of life concerns.
Everyone in relationships experience issues and changes not only individually but as a couple within the relationship. By learning good communication skills and using necessary tools to overcome stressors which causes negative patterns, my clients enhance their capacity to reconnect with intimacy, and personal growth. My treatment style is laid back but warm, supportive, and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines person centered therapy, solution focused therapy, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing. Acknowledging that you want help is often the most difficult step and am here to make that an easier step by helping you to identify and those obstacles and find appropriate solutions.
