About Me

My goal as a therapist is to provide you with a safe, supportive, and judgement-free environment in order to facilitate mental, emotional, physical and spiritual healing. I served in the U.S. Army for 10.5 years so I have a passion for helping other veterans and their families. I have focused my work on helping those who have experienced trauma (combat, military sexual assault, childhood abuse, serious physical injuries, etc.), working with women, and helping those dealing with stress, anxiety, depression and grief.

I enjoy helping my clients improve their relationship with their spouse/partner; this is especially important when children are involved. I like to use Gottman's work as a starting point and move forward from there. I am an art therapist so I love to use creative methods with my clients when they are open to it. I am also trained to provide Horticulture Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. I focus on meeting you where you are and providing you with what you need. Together we will develop goals to help you live the life you desire.

I have had only a short time with Rachel but I am impressed with her knowledge and kindness. I look forward to speaking with her and appreciate her effort

She is getting my spouse and I to talk about our deeper more complicated issues in our relationship and see them in a different way. To look at things for what they are and with out emotions blurring the image .
