Hi, my name is Phyllis. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and have over 15 years of experience working with people in different capacities, including social work and as a therapist. I have a graduate degree in Human Services with a Specialization in Marital, Couple, and Family Therapy. I tend to view people and their concerns in relation to their relationships with others. I enjoy helping clients find their voices and to learn skills they can use to get their needs met. I went into this field to help couples and families communicate more effectively. My approach to therapy is individualistic, positive, and strengths-based. I know it can be intimidating to be vulnerable with a new therapist and will do my best to ensure you feel safe while working toward your goals at a pace that feels comfortable to you.
I also have experience in Trauma and abuse, Eating disorders, Career difficulties, Bipolar disorder, Depression, Coping with life changes, Compassion fatigue

She was very understanding and knowledgeable during our first session. She treated my husband and I as one client and didn't take sides. She has displayed confidence in our goals for therapy and has provided homework to complete outside of sessions, which I appreciate.
It is so comfortable talking to Phyllis. She has allowed me and my partner to really advance in our relationship.
It is very easy to talk to Phyllis. I’ve had therapists in the past where it was uncomfortable fully confiding in them, as I felt judged and intimidated. It feels like I’m talking to a friend with her, but it is still professional.
Phyllis is awesome. Relatable, friendly and great to work with.
Thanks for the support! It comes at such a needed time. We appreciate your help and expert advice.
