About me

For the past 14 years, I have been a licensed mental health counselor and a professor for online learning. I have served in a variety of areas that include:, clinical supervisor, and therapist for individuals, students through DJJ, and families. Working from a Systemic perspective, I treat problems such as relationship issues, family conflicts, depression, ADHD, parenting issues, anxiety/stress, depression, and substance abuse keeping in mind how these stressors impact relationships. My primary experience has been with inmates in prison and I have also worked with students from age 9 to 18. My wife and I adopted three girls starting in 2011, so I have first-hand experience in the effort that it takes to make a blended family work.

My therapy style is warm, comfortable and inviting providing a safe place to air problems and restore healthy mental and emotional functioning. My personal challenge is to connect with people in collaborative relationships which inspire and support my clients to access their strengths, create possibilities, and attain their goals. This commitment transcends my work as a therapist, educator. I have strong beliefs in the importance of constructive and productive parenting skills and believe that parents provide the leadership for all family members to grow and thrive. Work on communication and listening skills are essential for all human relationships but especially within the family structure and in parenting.

I have earned my Masters degree in Community Psychology from Springfield College in Tampa, FL. In these studies I came to recognize that there are people who make decisions (employers, children) who make decisions and act in ways that impact the way we think, communicate and look at challenges that we all face.
I look forward to working with you in resolving your existing problem issues and helping facilitate the successful attainment of your goals.

I really like his energy and the way he always has a story to relate to an experience he’s an overall a great person. I love the little exercises we do in therapy. That’s my favorite part❤️
