About Me

Hi!
My name is Patricia Searels and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have worked in a variety of settings such as universities, private practice, and non profit centers for over 20 years. I have worked with couples, as well as adults of all ages suffering from relationship issues or adjustment disorders ( moving, new parents, job changes, financial issues, divorce) depression and anxiety.

My counseling style is is to create a genuine relationship that is caring, direct, and cooperative. I believe that when people are treated with respect and in a safe, healthy and honest relationship, growth can occur. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral with the Gottman Method which is a research based couples therapy. The therapeutic process looks different for each couple, and my belief is in finding a unique, individualized and wholistic approach for each client. I always meet the clients where they are and their personal goals will drive our work together.

My hours are pretty flexible and I prefer to have some voice or face to face time in addition to text. I believe in providing the tools you need to live a happier more fulfilling life. By reaching out for support and help you have already taken the first step towards improving your life and achieving your goals.

I look forward to working with you!

Patricia Searels is wonderful. She is very fair towards me and my husband and helpful in addressing our problems without choosing sides. We have never gone to therapy before and she makes us feel very comfortable.

Patricia is kind, patient, informative and direct when needed (which I love and appreciate being a direct person myself). She really understands my spouse & I, creative ways to help our marriage be stronger and seems to get each of us individually which helps each compliment each other and marriage even better for a stronger connection.

Only had one meeting, but found Patricia to be very level headed, down to earth and an educated counselor. Very friendly and very confident in her abilities to teach me and give me guidance I can apply to change my life.
