About Me

My name is Patricia Haley but my clients affectionately call me “Ms. Pat”. I have been a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas since 1997. I am also an approved LPC supervisor. I have worked with couples who need better ways to express their wants, needs, and feelings. Some of them have begun participating in domestic violence rather than dealing with their issues. For those couples, both are assessed alone and together to determine what their experiences are in the relationship. Both are taught behavior accountability with a "no blame" approach.

Anger management often takes up a lot of sessions with healthy alternatives being used to replace violent words and actions. Fair fighting, humor, and family communication are practiced in the session and as homework outside the session. Often, decision-making, problem-solving, and stress reduction are helpful. Finally, intimacy and love are the final areas covered to make theirs into a strong relationship. I believe that life is a gift, and I strive to help my clients accept and use their gifts together in the best way they can to meet their own goals and needs.
