Pamela Rowell

About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas with 5 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. The issues I have worked with include addiction and recovery counseling, anger management, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome), depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, grief and loss, career challenges, LGBT, relationship issues just to name a few.

My counseling style is warm, empathetic and direct. I believe in empowerment and self-confidence and treat everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in labeling and I am determined to be unbiased and objective so as to meet you right where you are. My approach to counseling combines different theories and styles and so is eclectic. Some of the styles I incorporate include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, rational-emotive Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and motivational interviewing, but I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

As a therapist working with couples, married or not, I have proven and inventive techniques that will help a couple who might be struggling with deep issues or just wanting a deeper, more intimate relationship with their partner. Whatever the marital concern, I am confident that together we can find solutions that best fit your needs. I believe in teaching and coaching a couple to find the maximum satisfaction and happiness in their relationship.

I look forward to working with you,
Pamela G. Rowell, LPC

Pamela is warm and understanding. Working with her makes me feel hopeful about the future of my relationship. She's great at listening and makes useful suggestions. I believe her when she says she's "on the side of the relationship". I'm thankful for her.
