About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience. I have worked with clients with a wide variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, OCD, parenting stressors, relationship issues and ADHD. I also have experience working with substance abuse issues and trauma. I am also versed in couples therapy topics such as infidelity, transparency, and communication concerns.

My therapy approach is warm and inviting. I hope to create an atmosphere where you and your partner will feel comfortable discussing topics and difficulties you are both experiencing. My approach uses elements of cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy. I also incorporate mindfulness techniques when it would help. I will tailor our conversations and treatment to incorporate techniques to help improve communication and establish healthy boundaries within the partnership to improve satisfaction for both parties.

I look forward to working with you and your partner!

Dr. Murphy has helped me tremendously through listening to my thoughts and posing questions that I had not previously considered.

Dr. Murphy has been great as a marriage counselor. She asks probing questions to get us to open up, and reiterates what she's hearing, helping to ensure she understands our feelings. She's been able to facilitate communication between my spouse and I, even after our session, and has helped to spark conversations we didn't know we needed to have. She's never judgmental, and always quick with a gentle suggestion when needed. She's readily available and has worked around my schedule and my spouse's for individual and joint sessions.
