About me

Hi, my name is Nina and I love to help! I love working with children individually with their families, persons that have addiction issues, and those that suffer from mental and behavioral concerns. I focus on solutions and strengths and am proactive and motivating in my approach.

As a Substance Abuse Therapist and Clinical Director of a treatment facility focusing on both substance use disorders and mental and behavioral health concerns. This unique population requires therapeutic interventions for the individual and the family and often couples treatment. Historical and biological information is necessary to assess and treat and my ability to quickly gain rapport allows me to gather information in a way that is comfortable and yields positive outcomes. Regaining a sense of self, a positive outlook, and a new way of life that requires diverse treatment goals and approaches which I have extensive experience in with both adolescents and adults.

Additionally, I have worked with individuals and couples suffering from a variety of issues. I have worked with a team of medical professionals which has enabled me to understand the emotional concerns that drive conflict in relationships. Just a few issues addressed include intimacy, infidelity, infertility, polyamory/non-monogamous relationships, communication issues, attachment issues, codependency, fatherhood and motherhood issues, and the family of origin and cultural matters that underpin dysfunctional patterns for couples.

For individuals' problem identification, problem-solving, and coping skills are just the beginning of the process in order to increase well-being and efficacy. My background includes experience with motivation, self-esteem, obsessions/compulsions, OCD, sexual assault and abuse, mood and emotional disorders, coping with crisis issues, feelings of emptiness, finding life's purpose and one's values, forgiveness, isolation/loneliness, panic disorders, and panic attacks, social anxiety and phobias, body image, personality disorders, impulsivity, control issues, workplace and money, and financial needs. I meet the client where they are and utilize the best possible approach to shift thought processes and give specific strategies to create change.

Nina makes you feel at ease and is extremely understanding and relatable. My husband and I both can work through what is happening in our lives currently with Nina's guidance and beautiful support, to be stronger people individually and as a couple while also working on the grief we are currently going through. We cannot thank Nina enough for her wisdom and support. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
