Hi there! My name is Mimi Akhand and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, with years of work with individuals, couples, and families. I use a strength based, warm but also direct approach. I pull from different models, depending on what my clients’ needs are. My main focus in modalities is cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused and motivational interviewing.
I cover many relationships needs, such as building intimacy, improving communication, relationship roles, changing dynamics of a relationship, divorce, and more.
Life has its ebs and flows. I am here to support and guide you during times of change, as well as when all is stable. I am here to empower you and highlight your strengths so you can grow into your best self.
