About Me

I have worked with couples counseling through my 5 year experience of being a Marriage and Family therapist utilizing Emotion Focused Therapy. The focus on couples counseling is to understand what the motivation of the process would be such as; working on emotional distancing / unavailability, communication effectiveness, reunification, managing a separation / co-parenting, re-structuring goals and / or rules within a relationship. I have mainly worked with couples that have either lost the emotional connection (spark) or due to changes with life circumstances have led to minimal time for each other which could lead to a build up of unresolved conflicts. Being able to work through resentments, grudges, forgiveness, and finding time to restore the spark is an important process with reunification. If the relationships does not have the ability to restore the spark and are ready to care about each other as independent adults not partnered, then working out the differences to find some type of resolve is important to help manage a friendship or co-parenting.

Michael is a very good listener and pays attention to detail. He doesn’t mix up my wife and I and he has helped us get through some difficult times.

Michael Brollini is a great listener. In the few sessions we've had he stays impartial and is great at presenting situations and concepts in a way that they help me to understand the bigger picture. He's an affable counselor and makes everyone comfortable very quickly.
