You may be dealing with issues and conflicts in your relationship that seem to be on rinse and repeat, resurfacing every time you think you're past them. When you're not sure what to do to move forward, therapy can help you bridge the gap. When I work with you, I will help empower you and your partner to make the changes needed to decrease conflict, and increase harmony and acceptance in your relationship.
I use an integrated therapeutic approach that includes emotion-focused and solution-focused therapy to help couples to achieve their relationship goals. I bring over 20 years of experience in mental health to my work with each client. I attained a bachelor's degree in Psychology, a masters in Rehabilitation Counseling, and a doctorate in Counseling Psychology. I've worked in multiple clinical settings and have worked with many couples and families to move past areas of difficulty. I continue to be passionate about working with people to bring about change in their life.

Dr. Phillips has been great thus far. We feel she has been very helpful and professional. She is awesome.
Melissa has helped our marriage considerably. My partner and I are learning to communicate more effectively and to handle challenging conversations in a way where we both feel understood. Melissa is non-judgmental, easy to talk to, and has lots of tools and ideas. I had worried going into counseling that we may be judged. We BOTH have Melissa's understanding and support. She's wonderful. I would highly recommend her!
